Bajre Dara Trek

Bajre Dara is one of Sikkim's lesser-known winter treks, winding through dense rhododendron and oak forests before opening onto a sweeping high-altitude meadow with commanding views of the Kangchenjunga massif. The trail passes through ancient monasteries and traditional Sikkimese villages, offering a rare off-the-beaten-path Himalayan experience during the winter months.

The winter views of Kangchenjunga from Bajre Dara's open ridgeline — framed by frost-silvered rhododendrons — are among the finest in Sikkim. The near-total absence of other trekkers makes it feel entirely your own.
