Mera Peak at 6,476m is the highest permitted trekking peak in Nepal. Though technically non-technical (mainly a glacier walk with crampon and ice axe), its altitude demands exceptional acclimatization and fitness. The summit panorama — Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Kangchenjunga all visible — is unrivalled in the Himalaya.
