Khopra Danda (also called Khopra Ridge) is a hidden gem of the Annapurna Conservation Area — a quieter alternative to ABC and the Annapurna Circuit that delivers exceptional close-up views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli. The ridge teahouse sits at 3,640m with a 360° Himalayan panorama.

The Khopra Danda ridge camp at dawn — Dhaulagiri to the west and the entire Annapurna South face to the east — is one of Nepal's great unsung viewpoints. Far fewer trekkers than on the main Annapurna trails.

This is for you if…

  • Nepal trekkers wanting Annapurna views without circuit crowds
  • Comfortable with 9-day teahouse trek
  • Good fitness for sustained uphill days
  • April spring bloom or October clarity seekers

Skip this if…

  • Expecting the full Annapurna or EBC-style established infrastructure
  • No fitness for sustained multi-day ascent

ACAP permit required. Some sections above Swanta are poorly marked — guide recommended. Cold nights at ridge camp even in April.
