All AdventuresThe only place on Earth where you can see four of the world's five highest peaks at once
The Adventure
Sandakphu is the highest point in West Bengal at 3,636m — and from its summit, on a clear day, you can see Everest, Kangchenjunga, Lhotse, and Makalu simultaneously. It is the only place on Earth where four of the world's five highest peaks are visible at once. The route along the Singalila ridge, lined with rhododendrons in bloom from March to May, is one of India's most scenic long-distance trails.
Highlights
The Sleeping Buddha — the profile of Kangchenjunga's massif at sunrise from Sandakphu, looking like a reclining figure — is one of the most iconic mountain views in Asia.
Suitability
Safety & Prep
