Kuari Pass — formerly Lord Curzon's Trail — offers one of the finest Himalayan panoramas accessible on a moderate trek: Nanda Devi, Dronagiri, Kamet, Hathi Parbat, and Dunagiri all visible simultaneously from the 3,815m pass. A superb winter trek with reliable snow coverage.

The panorama from Kuari Pass is arguably the finest single view accessible on a moderate Himalayan trek — the entire Garhwal Himalaya from Nanda Devi to Kamet laid out on one horizon.

This is for you if…

  • Moderate fitness for 8–10km/day
  • Comfortable with basic snow trekking in winter
  • No technical skills required
  • Excellent first winter Himalayan trek

Skip this if…

  • Expecting a summer green trek (best done in snow season)
  • No cold-weather camping experience with sub-zero nights

Winter nights drop to -15°C. Carry proper sleeping gear. Trail is well-managed but snow can be deep — go with an operator who carries avalanche safety basics.
