Zanskar is one of the most isolated inhabited valleys on Earth. The road into it — through Pensi La pass and down into the gorge — is barely a road at all. River crossings, crumbling cliff-side tracks, and zero mobile signal make this a true expedition. The reward is a valley frozen in time, with Buddhist monasteries, turquoise rivers, and total silence.
Zanskar is cut off by snow for 8 months a year — this is one of the only places in India where the outside world genuinely cannot reach you. The riding is raw and technical.
